Nowadays more and more young people who graduated from secondary school decide to study abroad. They consider studying abroad to be a great chance, so they become eager to leave their country. There is no doubt that this option has its advantages and disadvantages.

To begin with, studying abroad is a good opportunity to improve language skills. We can not only learn new languages at school, but also talk to native speakers and learn correct pronunciation in this way. We can also discover foreign cultures, customs, lifestyle and point of view of new people. What is more, studying abroad gives a chance to have a better future. Students who know foreign languages and have a certificate of a prestigious university can easily find a satisfying and well-paid job.

However, there are also some disadvantages of studying abroad. If people leave their home and move to another country, they feel alone and homesick. It can be really difficult for students to meet new friends, especially when they are shy and unsociable. Furthermore, studying abroad is rather expensive. Students have to pay school fees and rent, buy coursebooks and tickets. Because of it, not every student can afford to study in a different country.

To sum up, studying abroad has its pros and cons. It gives students a chance for a better future, but it can also involve paying a lot of money and make students feel homesick.
