Dear Sir,
I am writing to
express my concern about increased traffic in the centre of the town. There is
no doubt that it has adverse effect on environment and local people.
Increased traffic
in the town is associated with terrible noise and pollution. Cars and other
vehicles which are driven every day produce car fumes which pollute the air and
nearby rivers. As a result, plenty of rare animals and plants are endangered.
What is more, air pollution is extremely harmful to people who suffer from lung
diseases. In addition, terrible noise and pollution discourage traders from
running their own businesses, so it is very damaging to the local economy.
It is very
important to find a proper solution of this problem. To avoid car fumes
emission, you may encourage drivers to use unleaded petrol or leave their cars
and choose different means of public transport. You may also consider building
noise barriers, but I think that the best idea is building a road around the
town for cars and lorries.
I would
appreciate it if you could do everything in your power to solve the problem of
increased traffic in the heart of the city. It is important to find a solution
which will make our town less noisy and polluted, but more attractive for
traders and local people.
Yours faithfully,
XYZ
